The petition of electors of the Division of Jordan draws to the attention of the House that the residential and business community of Flagstone currently only have one access road to the estate via Homestead Drive, Jimboomba. As the Flagstone community devleops, the community is concerned about increasing congestion and potential safety issues in the event of a natural disaster like bushfire or floods.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to urgently call on Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) who have responsibility for planning for Flagstone under the Greater Flagstone Priority Development Scheme to prioritise the construction of an alternate access road in Flagstone.
