Electors of the Division of Oodgeroo draws to the attention of the House that two buildings are currently earmarked for removal from Ormiston State School in 2019, despite facilitating crucial educational programs including instrumental music, physical education, languages and STEM subjects.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to:

  1. Restore these two demountable buildings, as a matter of urgency, so the aforementioned classes can continue in 2019, with no reduction of service experienced.
  2. Establish a high priority plan to construct permanent buildings to replace the demountable structures, as was originally intended.
