TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House concerns raised by the community that the current speed limit of 100 km/h on the Brisbane Valley Highway, at the intersection with Old Mount Beppo Road (which is the turnoff to Toogoolawah State High School) is too fast and has resulted in many near misses.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to decrease the speed limit on this section of highway, and begin the 80 km/h limit on the Brisbane Valley Highway at least 100 m south of the Old Mount Beppo Road intersection to adjoin the current 80 km/h section currently in place through the township of Toogoolawah.
