TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House concerns raised by the community, despite the best efforts of hardworking local police, in regards to the growing crime rate in the South Burnett and Cherbourg Council areas following increased and continued incidents of car thefts and home break-ins.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to consider policing and preventative strategies for these communities, including extra policing resources, harsher penalties for offenders, youth crime prevention programs and strategies to help prevent juvenile offenders from re-offending.
