TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House that the most recent FRDC Stock Status Reports has no Queensland Fin Fish overfished. Introducing recreational boat limits and combined species possession limits increase the complexity for recreational fishers and are in fact another way to reduce possession limits.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to maintain the existing catch share of recreational fishers by maintaining existing possession and size limits for Queensland recreational fishers.
