The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the urgent need to upgrade the intersection of Killick Street and Old Maroochydore Road, Kunda Park for safety reasons.

Since the realignment of this intersection some years ago, the volume of traffic, particularly trucks and semi-trailers on week days, through this dangerous intersection has significantly increased thereby rendering the current design and signage outdated and inadequate.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to provide the necessary upgrade to the intersection of Killick Street and Old Maroochydore Road, Kunda Park to ensure the safety of motorists.
