The petition of citizens of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the proposed haulage route from the proposed Coleyville/Mt Walker Quarry via Rosewood to the Cunningham Highway at Amberley, associated with Development Application number MC.Bn13/00012 approved by the Scenic Rim Regional Council on the 27th of January 2016 involving an Extractive Industry and Environmentally Relevant Activity (ERA) on land located at Hinrichsen Road, Coleyville and described as Lot 14 RP21535.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to reject the proposed haulage route for the Coleyville/Mt Walker Quarry to the Cunningham Highway via Rosewood as it is longer and more costly than a direct route through Coleyville to the Cunningham Highway.  We the undersigned are concerned about the impact that the proposed route, which runs through Rosewood, will have on the local community, the environment, safety and road conditions.
