TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

The petition of citizens of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the unfair method of operation undertaken by the "ride-sharing" company Uber, threatening the viability and purpose of taxi licences across the State.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to take legislative action to ensure that Uber is required to compete on a level playing field with the established taxi industry.
