TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House opposition to a right turn in and right turn out across Burnett Street, Buderim (which is a state-controlled road) to access a proposed aged care facility at 112 Burnett Street, Buderim (Sunshine Coast Council file number MCU15/0116).  The location of the proposed right turn in is directly in front of a new signalised crossing which was installed for safety reasons.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to ensure that no right turn into the proposed development is permitted from Burnett Street due to safety concerns and the adverse impact on school traffic, residences, businesses and the local shopping precinct.
