Queensland Residents draws to the attention of the House your petitioners request the House to restore bus services that were lost during the last government and to review the current bus services to ensure the needs of residents of Logan City are met.

Governments at all levels are expecting us to find jobs and encouraging our youth to work is important in breaking the unemployment cycle but, without an adequate bus service, our unemployment rates will only climb higher than they are now.

Thirty one per cent of our population is under twenty. Young adults though are not the only demographic affected by inadequate evening services.

Our children who are travelling to get to and from educational facilities quickly and safely are among the affected residents trying to cope with these inadequacies in the time tables.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to restore bus services that were lost during the last government and to review the current bus services to ensure the needs of residents of Logan City are met.
