TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the great work that volunteers associated with Queensland's Volunteer Coast Guard units do every day in providing marine rescue services along the coast of Queensland, often in dangerous conditions. And that there has been no increase in Government funding for the past fifteen years towards this vital emergency service despite a significant increase in the work that they undertake.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to engage with the Queensland's Australian Volunteer Coast Guard to formulate a sustainable funding model that reflects the valuable work undertaken by volunteers of this organisation.
