Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House, we the undersigned do hereby request that TransLink alter proposed timetables for Routes 274 & 270.  Our proposed amendments will improve bus services to half hourly, allowing improved connection times with Coochiemudlo Island Ferries, better co-ordination of resources than the proposed TransLink conflicting times and routes and less inconvenience to the traveller.

Route 274

  • departure from Victoria Point Jetty to be altered to 6.35am then hourly until 8.35pm. This will allow connection with Route 272 Redlands Hospital at 2 minutes past the hour.
  • departure from Cleveland Station at 45 minutes past the hour, then hourly until 6.45pm to ensure connection with Coochiemudlo Island ferry at 30 past hour. As the 250 also services the route to Victoria Point shops and onward at 52 past the hour ongoing passengers would not be inconvenienced.
  • Saturday timetable to be at same times as our proposed Monday to Friday times.
  • Small diversion to allow access to Victoria Point Town Centre. Inward. Access centre from Colburn Avenue to existing bus stop. Outward. Access centre from Cleveland/Redland Bay Road, exit to Colburn Avenue. A 3 to5 minute diversion.

Route 270

  • retain current (pre 20/01/2014) arrival and departure timetables.
  • Saturday schedule be amended to our proposed Monday to Friday timetables.

The proposals in this petition will produce a traveler friendly, cohesive, connecting timetable that will be an efficient use of resources.
