The petition of the electors of the Division of Condamine draws to the attention of the House the very dangerous intersection of Drayton Street (Warrego Highway) and Owen Street, Dalby.  Dalby South State School, which has doubled in student numbers over the last five years, is in close proximity (south of the Warrego Highway on Owen Street) to this intersection. Primary school students, mothers pushing prams with other small children have to cross twice a day just to access the school. Adjacent to this intersection (north on Owen Street) is also Dalby's tennis courts, race course and access to other sporting facilities increasing the vehicular activity adding to the danger to both pedestrians and vehicles. As an electorate with an increasing resource related development currently and proposed in the future the danger at this intersection is only going to heighten.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to implement traffic control lights at the intersection of Drayton Street (Warrego Highway) and Owen Street, Dalby.
