TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

The petition of Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House that the March 2013 poll declared that 76.29% of Kuranda District electors voted NO to the creation of a Mareeba Shire Council by de-amalgamation of the Tablelands Regional Council.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to allow a Local Government boundary change that will enable Kuranda District to separate from the Mareeba Shire Council.
