Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House that the Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration Act 2003 recognises a stillborn child who has been gestated for 20 weeks or more.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to recognise babies born from 16 weeks by issuing a birth certificate.
