The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the State Government's proposal to overhaul Queensland bus services, which will lead to cuts to routes, reduced frequency and fewer weekend and evening services, including cuts to local services in the south-west region, which provide a vital link for individuals to travel to jobs, appointments, school university and hospitals.

Your petitioners therefore request the House to call on the Minister for Transport and Main Roads to ensure the frequency of bus services in the south-west region, in particular, the 100 BUZ service remains the same, including the retention of the following services: 101, 102, 103, 110, 122, 460, 462, 465, 466, 467, 468 and P461.
