TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

The petition of citizens of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the withdrawal of funding from the Emergency Services Cadet Program which allows cadets to gain knowledge, experience and confidence in life saving skills, which they can carry throughout their lives; in addition to allowing cadets and their families to gain a respect for all community programs and the promotion of community involvement and pride.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to reinstate funding to the Emergency Services Cadet Program.
