Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the possibility that removing compulsory voting in Queensland will lead to political parties and candidates spending significant money on providing incentives to voters to vote for them in State elections.


Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to retain the compulsory voting system that is currently in place in Queensland.
