Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the need for a new high school in the Highland Reserve area. The Queensland government established the Highland Reserve State School in 2009 to meet the needs of a growing population. A C&K kindergarten was opened at the school in February 2012.  With continued population growth, the educational needs of post-primary, young people and their families needs to be addressed with a new High School.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to give priority to the planning and future construction of a State High School to cater for the Highland Reserve locality.
