Queensland citizens draws to the attention of the House the proposal to install a new telecommunications facility on State Government property at 228 Gladstone Road, Dutton Park.  This proposal has not been subject to proper community consultation and significant community concerns exist regarding the health impacts of electromagnetic radiation emissions on the local community, including on children at the primary school opposite the proposed site.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to urgently take all measures possible to suspend all activity to construct the tower until a full and proper consultation can take place with the local community and extensive reviews, particularly regarding health impacts, can be conducted by all levels of Government.
