The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House cyclists who endanger pedestrians with their irresponsible behaviour and undue care and attention on footpaths and pathways.  Because of lack of identification, it is generally impossible to bring these irresponsible cyclists to account.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to implement a system of registration for bicycles.
