TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the effect on local residents of changes to bus routes 651, 653 and 654 located in the area around Norfolk Esplanade, Morayfield.  Without prior notice all bus services have been removed from eight stops.

Your petitioners therefore request the House to:

a)    direct the Minister for Transport to investigate the restoration of these services as a matter of urgency;

b)    establish guidelines to ensure that any changes to public transport must be prominently displayed within the affected stops and vehicles on this service; and

c)    determine the adequacy of public transport planning within the Moreton Bay Regional Council.
