TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
The petition of residents of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the dangerous entrance/exit point to the Island Point Villas ("IPV") from Kawana Way, Parrearra and the lack of access to public transport for residents of IPV.
Your petitioners therefore request the House to consider reducing the speed limit from 80 km/h to 60 km/h on the section of Kawana Way between the roundabouts at Brightwater Boulevard and Jamaica Way, Parrearra therefore facilitating a safe entrance/exit point to the Villas and also providing a safer option for the installation of a bus to stop in close proximity to IPV.
