The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the lack of a safe exit for traffic on the Bruce Highway entering onto Hencamp Creek Road, lack of signage indicating turn-off and 100km per hour speed limit at such an intersection.  This intersection has regular traffic including the local school bus, caravans and other holiday travellers, cane haulers and other farm machinery, farm workers as well as local residents.  This intersection is a very dangerous one particularly for northbound traffic turning right needing to stop in the middle of the highway to wait for oncoming traffic before crossing and traffic behind them having to either stop or having to pass on a narrow shoulder to avoid collision.

Your petitioners therefore request an appropriate turning lane at the Bruce Highway and Hencamp Creek Road intersection with appropriate signage and speed limit to be constructed as soon as possible.
