TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House that cat traps are inhume and can cause serious injuries to captured animals.  On 28 April 2011, a Council cat trap severed the tail of a cat at Tanah Merah, requiring surgery by a Vet.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to introduce legislation banning the use of cat traps in urban environments.
