TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

Queensland citizens draws to the attention of the House the excessive water charges that have increased astronomically over the last year that Queenslanders are being forced to pay due to Governments mismanagement of supplying water to consumers.


Your petitioners therefore request the House that potable water be declared an essential right of Queensland consumers and that no profit margin above the cost of supplying potable water be allowed to be charged by any Government or any Government entity.
