The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House to the fact that Mt Crosby State School has 710 students and growing.  Parents have planned and fundraised for years to get an adequate resource centre and school hall.  $3 million was allocated under the Building the Education Revolution but the school is only to get a library of 283 square metres and an undercover play area instead of the desperately needed school and community hall.  There is currently no school hall and a tiny 111 square metre library servicing our enormous school.

Your petitioners therefore request the House to correct this injustice and deliver the promised "multipurpose sports hall" not an undercover open area and ensure that the library meets at least the minimum standard of 420 square metres required for a school over 500 students.
