TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

The petition of electors of the electorate of Mount Ommaney draws to the attention of the House the current state of congestion on the Centenary Motorway particularly in relation to problems occurring at the Sumners Road, Sinnamon Park/Mt Ommaney and Jindalee on-ramps.  Petitioners recognise that congestion emanates from the Toowong roundabout and Milton and Moggill Council roads.

Your petitioners therefore request the House to ensure that work to upgrade the Centenary Motorway is timely to complement the construction of the Northern Link tunnel Toowong.
