The petition of citizens of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the intention of new legislation for Queensland Racing dissolving the Queensland Country Racing Committee and the dissolving of the Queensland Country Racing Associations.

Your petitioners therefore request the House to immediately ensure that the Queensland Country Racing Committee and Queensland Country Racing Associations are not dissolved and this statute be incorporated into any new legislation.  Also the Queensland Country Racing Industry wants guarantee of no further loss of racing dates and reference to this to remain as part of the legislation and not to be part of any new Control Body Constitution.
