TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

The petition of citizens of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the proposed highway bypass of the town of Ingham and to stop the imminent negative impact on the town's economy and future business opportunities.

Your petitioners therefore request the House to pursue alternative options in flood proofing the Bruce Highway to minimise any detrimental impact on the economic viability of the Herbert River district and potential negative impacts on farms and sporting venues.
