TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
The petition of residents of Coochiemudlo Island in the division of Redlands draws your attention to the urgent need of a police presence on the island. Your petitioners therefore request the Minister for Police to provide a police presence at Coochiemudlo to enable residents and visitors to have the same rights as all Australians, to live without the fear of violence.
