TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
The petition of the citizens of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the need to access River Gardens and Casino Village Caravan Parks in Carrara. The upgrade of Nerang-Broadbeach Road means that residents have to drive 2 kilometres to lights, perform a u-turn and drive back 2 kilometres to access an entrance to their street. Residents are currently using the bus lane to access their properties and a fatality will occur if proper access is not made available. Your petitioners therefore request the House to construct an entrance from Nerang-Broadbeach Road for the residents of River Gardens and Casino Village Caravan Parks to safely enter their homes.
