TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
The petition of electors of the Division of Springwood draws to the attention of the House to the application for Approved Extended Hours by the Chatswood Hills Tavern at Springwood to allow trading form 10.00 am - 3.00 am Monday - Sunday. The Chatswood Hills Tavern is located in a suburban shopping centre, the lateness of the hour patrons would be leaving the Tavern would create traffic and noise affecting the peace and tranquillity of residents in neighbouring properties. The quiet good order of the neighbourhood would be reduced by an increase of late night anti-social behaviour causing undue annoyance, disturbance and inconvenience to the residents living nearby. Your petitioners therefore request the House to reject the application for an increase in hours of operation by the Chatswood Hills Tavern at Springwood.
