TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
The petition of the following electors of the Divisions of Fitzroy and Rockhampton draws to the attention of the House our concerns with regard to the decision of the Department of Natural Resources & Water to discontinue the telephone gauging station service at Riverslea on the Fitzroy River and the failure of the Department to consult with users of the service. Your petitioners therefore request the House to ensure that this service be immediately reinstated.
