TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
The Petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws the attention of the House to the need for laws or provisions to combat the jumping from Gold Coast Bridges into its waterways, particularly boating channels. The petitioners request the House provides the relevant means to enforce the safe use of our waterways and that the house urgently consider the safety of the individuals using the channels for their correct and intended purposes.
