Queensland Parliament House is throwing open the doors to our kitchen and inviting all culinary enthusiasts to join us for our very own Parliamentary Chefs’ Cooking School.

Participants will explore recipes and cooking styles from all over the world, guided by our uniquely skilled team of dedicated Parliamentary chefs. You will be granted access to utilise the very same kitchen that prepares exquisite meals for Parliament’s guests, from politicians and ambassadors to royalty.

Your experience is then topped off with your delicious meal being served to you in the exclusive Speaker’s Dining Room; a privilege extended to only a select few until now.

Only 14 spaces are available per class, so get in quick! 

All schools include:

  • cooking class with recipes to take home
  • meal in the Speaker's Dining Room following the class including beverages paired with your recipes
  • onsite parking

G’day mate! The Queensland Parliamentary chefs invite you to a ripper modern Australian gastronomic experience.
From wild caught kangaroo to Morton Bay bugs, we will entice your palette with the best produce that Australia has to offer.

16 August 2019 - Cooking With Spice
Let our experienced chefs show you how to get the most out of your spices.
Learn how to prepare and cook classic spicy dishes, from Malaysian Rendang to Mexican Mole.
Explore building and layering with flavours that are sure to not disappoint.

4 October 2019 - Butchery, BBQs and Beers
Kick back and enjoy delicious Queensland meat, paired with fantastic local beers.
Learn the art of Memphis BBQ cookery, sample Kobe grade beef and learn how to butcher and grill like a boss.

15 November 2019 - Queensland Seafood Masterclass
Discover how to prepare, store and cook Queensland’s finest seafood. From opening oysters, to filleting fish and everything in between.
Go on a gastronomic journey of flavours showcasing classical and modern seafood cooking techniques, finishing with an outstanding seafood feast.
