2018 JIYP Cairns

Welcome to the Junior Indigenous Youth Parliament Cairns

The Junior Indigenous Youth Parliament Cairns will be held on Thursday 25 October for Year 6 students from an Indigenous back – ground. A  maximum of ninety-two (92) students from primary schools in Cairns and the surrounding region. Schools are required to register for this event. The number of students per school will depend on the number of schools that nominate for the Youth Parliament.

Dates

Nominations close:    Friday 31 August 2018

Initial briefing for teachers:    Monday 10 September 2018, 3.45 – 4.30pm

Participant names and photo consent forms to be provided by:    Monday 1 October 2018

Final briefing for teachers and students:    Tuesday 23 October 2018, 3.45 – 4.30pm

2018 Junior Indigenous Youth Parliament Cairns:    Thursday 25 October 2018, 9.30am – 1.00pm
