Queensland citizens draws to the attention of the House, the Crime and Corruption Commission’s recent "Investigation Workshop” Report, tabled on 4 July 2022. We submit that the people of Queensland have lost confidence in the CCC’s ability/willingness to properly investigate corruption in the Queensland Public Service.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to:

1. Close the Crime and Corruption Commission.

2. Establish an Independent Corruption Commission which can be seen to be acting in the public interest without political interference.

3. Provide proper funding and corruption prevention powers for this new entity.
