Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House that the Moggill ferry be replaced with a bridge that is above any major flood level as after the floods the ferry was closed for several days. This is the way many people go on their daily commute to work and having a ferry that is so easily impacted and closed due to flooding needs to be addressed as soon as possible. While roads were still closed after the flood and the ferry closed people were left with the situation where they needed to find other ways to get where the needed to go for work or other reasons. This needs to be addressed as soon as possible. 

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to replace the Moggill ferry with a bridge that is above the level of even the highest flood event.
