TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House at the request of families involved, the out-of-control crimes being committed by youth criminals across the Gold Coast and Queensland. These repeat offenders, some as young as 13 years old, continue committing crimes knowing there is little to no consequence for their actions.
Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to:
1. Consider breach of bail an offence in the youth justice system.
2. Implement mandatory rehabilitation measures for repeat offenders.
