This petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House that, because of an accident on or close to the Bethania Railway crossing, all vehicular access to premises on the northern end of Station Road can be blocked. Due to the age and infirmity of many residents in this area, ambulance access is vital in this area. Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to ensure that emergency vehicles are provided a second line crossing which could be a gated, locked crossing to be opened by Police, Queensland Rail or emergency services.
