The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House that we are concerned that Queensland Rail's urgency to develop a rail overpass in Beerwah is overriding the reservations of a large number of residents and businesses in our town, and that the impacts on our community are being overlooked. Your petitioners therefore request the House 'to have work on Trackstars ‘Option S’ halted immediately, a credible socio-economic impact assessment conducted to evaluate impacts of the project on the social cohesion and economy of our town, the crossing project be re-evaluated to ensure all adverse impacts are addressed.
