The Petition of Citizens of Queensland draws to the attention of the House that access to Russell Island is expensive and time consuming and with the growing population more stress shall be put on Moreton Bay Park. There are serious problems with the lack of Health Services on Russell Island which are almost non-existant and are not just of concern to the Elderly but all ages. Your Petitioners therefore request the House to consider building a Toll Bridge to North Stradbroke Island via Russell Island which would allow quicker, cheaper access to the Mainland. Much needed water and the sewerage could be conveyed on the Toll Bridge which would be Funded by Tourism.
