Queensland residents draw to the attention of the House the rapid growth of enrolment at Mt Crosby State School and note that the school is now overcrowded to the detriment of students and their education. We note the recent loss of the after school care building and the music room in order to accommodate classes. We also note that the demountable or modular building currently expected to house two classes is over twenty years old, has no disability access, has no water, has no computer access and is not of adequate size to allow proper functioning of two classes. We call on the Government to provide a new modular or demountable building comprising of two classroom areas and a withdrawal room as a matter of urgency.
