Queensland Residents draws to the attention of the House concerns about serious violent, repeat alleged offenders being able to receive bail and thus enabling them to be out in the community and in turn causing their alleged victims and the wider community to fear for their safety. Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to reconsider laws under which those charged with serious, violent offences are able to obtain bail.
