The residents of ‘The Palms’ Melody Court, Warana request the Department of Transport to undertake all necessary steps to commence a public bus service to provide for residents. There are in excess of 400 older residents in ‘The Palms’, where a bus stop has already been installed. A twice-daily detour from Nicklin Way by the north-bound and south-bound bus services, with a circuit of Melody Court, would greatly assist these older residents. At present, the nearest bus stop is approximately a kilometre from ‘The Palms’ and requires these older residents to cross the extremely busy Nicklin Way on the southern journey.
