The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the inadequacy of parking for staff and visitors at The Prince Charles Hospital. The reduction in 100 staff parking spaces has resulted in chaos in local residential streets. The Minister has conceded that 1,500 parking spaces are required this year.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the Department of Health to evaluate the need for additional car and motorcycle parking requirements at the hospital and plan to rectify the situation as a matter of urgency. The evaluation should take into account any additional development planned for the hospital. Petitioners also request that the outcome of the evaluation be made publicly available to hospital staff and local neighbouring residents to the hospital.
