The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the urgent need to upgrade the northbound off-ramp of Exit 49 of the M1, at Pimpama. Dangerous ramping occurs every afternoon in peak periods and regularly in the morning at Exit 49. It is a serious safety issue that has the potential to cause serious accidents resulting in injury or death.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to ensure the government undertakes, as a matter of utmost urgency, improvements to the operation of the dangerous interchange that is the northbound off-ramp Exit 49 of the M1 at Pimpama.
