Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the urgent need to prioritise repairs to the connecting road leading to the John Muntz Bridge at Upper Coomera as a matter of urgency. The recent weather event has resulted in the connection road to the bridge being washed away and therefore your petitioners request the Department of Transport and Main Roads to complete works within the next six weeks, or the shortest possible time frame, to once again allow traffic to use this critically important arterial road that accommodates approximately 15,000 vehicle movements per day.  This urgency will only increase when school returns after the holidays.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to prioritise repairs to the John Muntz Bridge connection road within the next six weeks, or as a matter of urgency.
