The petition of residents of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the need for a Australia Post post box at the Rededge Convenience Centre on the Corner of Finnegan Way and Celestial Way Coomera, to provide required additional services to all the people living and working in and around the Coomera area. Coomera has been identified, in the recently released Shaping South East Queensland, Draft South East Queensland Regional Plan, October 2016, as “the area that will accommodate the largest proportion of the sub-region's planned greenfield growth”. It is therefore essential to provide services, such as an Australia Post post box to the residents of Coomera. Furthermore, the Coomera area is already a well located and planned urban settlement and, as such, must be appropriately serviced with basic urban infrastructure. This service will negate the need for travel out of this area, on already congested roads, to perform the simple task of mailing a letter.

Your petitioners therefore request the House to do all in its power to ensure that Australia Post provide this essential service to this rapidly growing, but already well established community, in a timely manner.
